Fraud Alert !
Recent reports of unscrupulous business practices have been brought to our attention. Several businesses in La Verne have been victimized by individuals claiming to have been sent by the "Fire Marshal" or the "Fire Department" to conduct unsolicited inspections regarding fire protection systems and areas related to fire safety.

Before Fires Occur, You Should:
* Cut grasses so they are no more than 3 inches high.
* Limb up trees to 10 feet above the ground or, for shorter trees, 1/3 the overall height of the tree.
* Trim trees 10 to 15 feet away from your chimney.
* Space trees and shrubs 10 to 15 apart and prune away dead or dying branches or plants.
* Remove ALL junipers and bamboo from within 30 feet of your house NOW.Contact Fire Prevention for more information.
